Pug, Puppy

Our inspiration for showing off the pug breed was a recent trip to visit a friend who has a pug that has become a vaccuum cleaner.
Of food.
But Ella, seen here, is just a 7-week-old puppy who is seeing the world for the first time. The owner reports that her favorite sleeping position is what you see above.
According to Wikipedia, “the stern expression of the Pug belies its true sense of fun. Pugs are sociable dogs, and usually stubborn about certain things, but they are playful, charming, clever and are known to succeed in dog obedience skills.”

These photos are from last summer but as winter takes hold we all could use some warm weather reminders like Ash and Mungo swimming in the waters of Utah.
Yes, these two are puppies.
Newfie pups.
Full grown males are known to reach 150 pounds, while the females usually reach a range of 120-140 pounds.

Black Lab, Puppy

This might be the coolest thing I’ve discovered lately when it comes to dogs being goofy.
The owners report that this is Enzo, and the little black lab couldn’t pass up the opportunity to retrieve this pacifier that was treated more like a toy by the pup.
We can only imagine there is a dog toy maker somewhere who can turn this into a money-making opportunity.

Corgi

This is our first post dealing with Corgi’s, but we’ve found a cool puppy to break the ice with this breed.
Meet little guy, Solomon, who is so small at this early age that he finds comfort sliding under a chair as he prepares for a play attack.
The Corgi breed is known to be quite bright and requires plenty of outdoor activity so do your homework before making this dog your new pet.

Teddy the Daschund has a very unique way of getting sleep during the holidays.
He buries his head into couch cushions.
It seems comfortable for the little guy and he doesn’t even have to listen to all the family chatter.

Jasper really likes Tiger Lily.
Tiger makes for a soft cushion and a protector to the young Boxer pup. The problem here, it seems, it that the older Tiger doesn’t get much sleep with a dog on its back.
The good part for both is that they can sprawl out on the couch and enjoy a snooze.
At least they don’t fight over space.

The dog/snow theme continues with this look at “9 Dog Who Can’t Get Enough Snow In Their Faces.”
It’s simple, really. These dogs need to stick their noses under the snow to get all those scents.
The snow just happens to make photos all the more better. Our favorite is the St. Bernard sitting on duty at the ski slopes.
What a cool dog with an awesome job. Keeping people alive and being a great pet makes this breed one of our all-time favorites.
